Call for proposals: Sustainable Transition Fund - Call 3
B2B SUSTAINABLE TRANSITION FUND CALL 3
1st November 2024 - 31st January 2025
High-quality project proposals from businesses, researchers from Universities or other organisations, including collaborative bids, are being invited to run targeted projects that will generate new data, or fill knowledge gaps to help inform the development of sustainable practices in the fashion & textile sector. This is the final Sustainable Transition Fund call being offered by the Back to Baselines in Circular Fashion & Textiles network.
The Sustainable Transition Fund will be awarded to collaborative partnerships between industry and academia. Three levels of funding are offered depending on the scale and potential impact of the work: up to £5,000, up to £20,000, or up to £50,000. All projects should be completed within a six-month period after their contracted start date. Applications must align with one or more of the Back to Baselines Thematic Areas of research, which are:
- Determining environmental target areas.
- Developing effective eco-credential standards.
- Assessing innovation progress currently and for emerging and future.
- Identifying major skills gaps.
- Understanding & influencing cultures & behaviours.
Applicants should submit an initial project outline of 250 words (maximum) and specify the Thematic Area to which the project aligns. Initial project outlines should be sent to the B2B Network Coordinator: Madeleine Ogle at m.v.ogle@leeds.ac.uk before end of day, 29th November 2024. This preliminary step is to help ensure time is not spent on full submissions that are out of scope. If eligible, a full application can then be submitted, for which guidance will be provided. The deadline for submission of full applications is 31st January 2025.
